After Care

*Avoid showering or excersizing for 48 after applying your hair extensions. Tape-in extensions especially need time to adhere to your hair.

*Use only sulphate free shampoo, make sure it does not contain alcohol. Do not use any shampoos that contain silicone or moisture. Be careful of products containing protein/keratin. Please do not use the following products on your extensions DO NOT use silver shampoos, Pureology, Icon products, MK shampoo, conditioner or silver shampoo, Joico K-pack.

*We recommend that you don’t wash your hair frequently, no more than twice a week. When washing, use shampoos that are free of protien/keratine, silicone or alcohol.

*Dry Shampoo is a great way to wash your hair without messing up your hair extensions. Dry Shampoo absorbs oils and leave your hair feeling and smelling fresh.

*When your extensions are feeling a bit dry and dull, you can use oils and conditioners to hydrate them and bring back their shine. Just be sure to apply all oils and all types of conditioners from the midshaft down avoiding the bonds. Oils can cause the adhesive to loosen up.

*If you’re a beach lover like me, try to avoid salty or chlorinated water as they can damage your extensions just like it can damage your real hair. If you are like me and can’t resist, wet your hair with regular water to give less room for your hair to absorb the salt or chlorinated water.

*When brushing your hair, don’t brush it too harshly with a regular brush. You can use your tangle teezer brush which is designed not to pull or catch on the application points.

*Avoid any products that lighten natural colour, create waves, or straighten natural curls.

*When chemically processing your hair, we advise that you do so at a salon with a professional, not at home.

*When colouring your hair, test it on a single strand/ piece of hair before colouring all your NdN Hair extensions. Keep in mind that colour on hair extensions always comes out different than your natural hair.

*After applying your hair extentions, avoid tying your hair up in high ponytail or bun for 2 weeks. Your tape-in / weave needs to settle first. High tensions on the scalp can cause damage or hair loss.

*After aplying tape-in extensions, press your panels together everyday. This helps the tape-in extensions bond to last longer.

*Maintaining your natural hair extensions is very similar to your natural hair. You will need to trim the ends of the extensions to keep it looking healthy! This means your extensions will get shorter with time.

*Like natural hair, the extensions will get thinner over time, this is very normal.

*When sleeping, excersising and swimming, be sure to wear your hair in a ponytail or a loose braid.
